Hyundai Sonata is not as reliable as other Japanese cars. Plenty of small issues with the vehicle. Some with aircon issue. Others with rubber lining issues. Petrol consumption of this vehicle is also higher than similar Japanese cars. Some give feedback that the engine seems to be overworked by the sound of the engine as cc 2.0 is insufficient to power this car.

Besides that, resale value of this car is horrendous.

If you do decide to go ahead with the purchase, cheaper spare parts can be obtained from Jalan Ipoh.
